​The Oakland Black Cowboy Association, a not-for-profit organization, has spent four decades enlightening children and adults with the contributions of people of color in the settling of the West.

This is the second time I attended this event. I feel this year is different because of Lil Naz X’s success in his award-winning song Old Town Road.
